Recent Exhibitions 2009 January Na Makana O Keauhou Luana Gallery, Fairmont Orchid, Kohala Coast, HI, to March 23, 2009 June to September 2009 July to August 2009 The Pacific Island Printmakers of Hawai’i represent a diverse and independent print community on the Big Island of Hawai’i working with both traditional and experimental media. This group has recently held exchange exhibitions in Hilo and Holualoa on Hawai’i Island, and also in Monterey, California. These collaborative shows and workshops have created a unique opportunity for local printmakers to expand their visual conversation in printing, and develop a new dimensionality in site specific group print installations. The Memory of Water Reflections in Printmaking event will feature a mixed media print exhibition with traditional media and site specific dimensional print installations. The elemental theme of Water will be the focus of the work included in this Island Wide group show.
